A. Lead Character - The character that you are currently controlling.

D. Target - Monsters can be manually targeted with the Tab key. The number in the bracket denotes the number of monsters in the party.

M: Key 1 - basic weapon attack - If the attack lands on a monster before it touches you, a battle encounter will trigger in your favor. Otherwise, the monster's party will gain this advantage.

A. Turn Queue
As soon as a battle begins, all characters involved are queued to take turns against each other. The character on top is entitled to a turn and may perform an action such as attack or begin casting a spell. Many abilities such as spells require a "charge time" before usage. The turn of which these abilities will unleash is also indicated by the turn queue, but it is subject to change as many (nasty) things can happen to the user during this period.
